It’s that time of year again to go to the Christmas markets. And this year I am going to Bath Christmas markets which is VERY long awaited because of covid and then it not being on last year. So I thought I would share a little Christmas market inspired outfit to really get the festive feelings going. Think cosy, chic and warm (although this will probably change if the weather is tipping it down).
I actually wore this outfit to the Christmas markets in Exeter last year so I know it’s a winner.
First up is a simply plain black layer – I styled a Zara bodysuit here, because the outer layer I have selected is relatively heavy and it’s not freezing outside at the moment. However this could be swapped in for a longer sleeved bodysuit or a black tshirt.
Second is a pair of faux leather leggings. Mines a pair of really old missguided leggings and honestly they are the best faux leather leggings I have tried. I have tried so many pairs before these and they all cracked or the leather ripped away from the stitching in the crotch after a couple of wears. However I think the secret with these is that they are coated leggings. So look like faux leather but are more durable. These have been keeping me going for years.
Next is a classic pair of black chunky boots. The perfect addition to a wintery outfit, and because I work from home I don’t wear them any wear near as much as I would like. So I try and bring them out any occasion when I can.
And then the pièce de résistance of the outfit is the coat. This gorgeous coat is a Pretty Lavish number from last season and it’s a beauty. An utter showstopper of a coat. It is as comfy as it looks, but pretty heavy so you don’t need a thick jumper underneath. However it just makes for the perfect festive outing outfit.
I topped the outfit off with my Coach handbag because it is my classic go-to.
I would love to know your thoughts on this outfit.
