Wedding season is fast approaching us and that means a fair few of us are on the hunt for some new wedding guest dresses. I am included in that as I have a wedding in June to go to but I am currently really struggling to find a dress to wear. I have recently done a wardrobe clear out so I have minimal options and feel like treating myself to something new. My issue is a lot of my dresses are black and I feel like a wedding is a good excuse not to wear black as I normally do everyday.
With that in mind, I have been doing a LOT of looking around for a good dress that will last me for many more wedding seasons to come. So rather than picking out specific dresses I thought I would share some brands who have got some great options for wedding guest dresses this year!
I have actually got one of the Style Cheat dresses in my basket for the wedding I have to go to. What I love is they currently (at the time of me writing this post) have a banner on their homepage for wedding guest dress ideas. They have a good range of simplistic block colour dresses, with each style in a few different colours. I have been finding that I find a dress style a like but the colour isn’t my favourite. So by having a few different options makes Style Cheat a great option.
Perfect for those looking to buy more of an investment dresses for wedding seasons year after year, Reformation have a beautiful range of options for any taste. They are also amazing quality and timeless. Slightly above budget for just a one off wedding, but if you know you will have a few to attend over the next couple of years and don’t want to buy new dresses for each one this is a great option.
I have actually been loving some of the styles on Nasty Gal. Last year to a wedding I wore a maxi dress however I am drifting more towards a mini dress this year so I am looking at Nasty Gal as they are a brand who have a whole range of mini style dresses. A batwing one specifically caught my eye.
Oh Polly has a very specific and stunning style of dress they tend to sell, so if you are looking for a dress which is figure hugging, flattering and rouched this brand will be your favourite. I feel as if Oh Polly are a go to for the hourglass look and I would LOVE to try some of their dresses. Whether you want a midi or a mini they have a great versatile range in a variety of different colours and prints.
Such a classic but a must to include. If you are looking for a wedding guest dress on a great budget then you can’t not look at ASOS. My only criticism is that I find dresses I love but I don’t love the colour but there are hundreds of options to compensate!
I have always wanted to try a Never Full Dressed dress. Hattie Bourn wore one ages ago and I fell in love. They are perfect if you love a mix of prints, bold colours and patchwork details. You won’t have to worry about someone else wearing the same dress as they are stunning and unique.
If you don’t know already, Pretty Lavish have amazing bridesmaid dresses but a lot of them would be perfect for wedding guest dresses as well. They have beautiful floral numbers as well. One thing that stood out to me where the number of long sleeve dresses because the wedding I am going to is in Scotland so will be perfect for slightly cooler days!
Al hail Zara for actually creating a whole section on their website for wedding guest dresses and looks. It is literally what I am dreaming of. A lot of mini and slinky satin numbers and for weddings abroad!
