Last year, I feel as if festive party wear was a bit of a rare find, as covid pretty much cancelled any Christmas party plans. So this year shops have really gone all out and have been putting out some of the most amazing party wear pieces. Shops such as Zara, H&M and Mango are really going full out with sequins, bows, and there is more black, red and gold than other years. I feel previous years have included a lot of green and purple too, but this year is a bit more traditional. But I wanted to do a roundup of some of my festive party wear must haves!
And that had to include this amazing playsuit that I bought this week from Zara – do I have a festive party to wear it to… not that I am currently aware of but I had to snap it up. When I mean run don’t walk to Zara, I mean it. There effective party wear is the most popular on the market this year and for example, this playsuit is being snapped up. I love the satin and sequin clash, with the bow for added glam.
It also is very structure with boning in the corset element of the top meaning you will feel secure, and it felt really high quality. Another element I liked is that the shorts wren’t itchy. I actually have a love/hate relationship with sequins as I feel some sequin items can feel really scratchy on the skin. But these were very comfortable. You can find this playsuit here… it is already sold out (I told it you it was popular!) but make sure to turn those notifications on for when it comes back in stock!
I also wanted to talk about the Public Desire Bow Heels. I have fallen in love with the Mach & Mach heels, however at £900 my bank account says no. River Island also had some great dupes, but like any great alternative they will go very quickly. So I found these Public Desire heels and they have the similar diamanté bow element which is gorgeous. The perfect wow factor heel for a Christmas party!
And finally, there are lots of sequin and sparkly crop tops that are very on trend thanks to the ever so popular Zara one. I have recently ordered the gold River Island one linked below, however both H&M and River Island have some similar ones if you can’t get your hands on the sold out Zara top.
