Autumn has to be my favourite time of year for fashion because it means coats, and layers and I just feel it is the perfect time of year to really to express your personal style. But you still need the basics in your collection. I like to treat myself to a couple of new basics each year because sometimes you need some new a bit of a refresh. Things like white tops especially are always best grabbing a new one each year as white can not stay white as long as we sometimes hope. But looking at the basics, I thought I would share 15 minimal autumn tops fit for any wardrobe.
I wanted to cover as many areas that I could. So I have a mix of tops from comfy to something a little more suited for cocktails with the girls. I also threw in a leopard print number, because whilst it’s a bolder print, I think the top itself is the perfect top to add a little something to an outfit but it’s not too OTT.
The H&M knit collared top is a really on trend top right now. The collared detail can be found on jumpers and knits everywhere but this is a great layering option. So are stripes. An essential in any wardrobe because they can just be styled so easily and flatter any shape. My personal favourite is the simple Mango stripped top as the looser fit to me is just really elegant.
The white Pretty Lavish shirt is gorgeous for a little WFH number or if you are looking for a minimal chic number to match with some blue jeans. Minimal autumn tops can really vary too, and you don’t have to stick to your typical knits. As much as a I love autumn, October weather still can be warm, so options such as the Reformation white blouse will be that perfect transition top. I adore the cut and the peplum hem of it.
Mango are a great place for minimal tops, similar to Zara, and relatively inexpensive. The mango black long-sleeved top with the cream hem is a stand out. Very Parisienne and the little detail of the hem is just adorable. I can imagine wearing it with a pair of leather leggings, chunky loafers and an aviator jacket.
I have left all the links to the tops below, so let me know which minimal autumn top is a stand out for you, or what you look for in an autumn top!
