I Finished University!

Guess who has just finished university? This girl!

I know I have been a bit quiet on my blog lately. I never intended to take a break as I have never really stopped posting on my blog. But I feel like I had a good excuse because I FINISHED UNIVERSITY! The last couple of weeks I have been scrambling around to try and finish my last two modules, and also mentally prepare myself for leaving university. But yesterday was my last ever day at university!

Technically… I have a few things I have to go back fro such as results, and also we are having a showcase event so I will be back for that. However all my uni work has been handed in and I am free to do as I please. Which is a lot scarier than it sounds now writing that out haha! For those who don’t know I studied BA (Hons) Fashion Media and Marketing at Plymouth College of Art.

It feels really bitter sweet because obviously the last year and a half at university have been anything but normal with COVID with a large part of it being online. And I have felt ready to crack on with Thirty Five The Studio – however I am also going to miss it. I have been in education for the majority of my life, so like everyone else who has been in the situation, its overwhelming as you don’t know what is next. But despite COVID ruining the last year at university I have been really fortunate to be in the situation where I have had amazing experiences throughout my time at university. I got to go to both London and Paris fashion week, and meet some amazing friends who will be my friends for life.

I don’t think it is really going to hit me that I have finished university until a few weeks time. But, I want to take the next couple of months to really work on trying to make my business work. If you didn’t know, I set up Thirty Five The Studio during one of my last modules at university. It is a content agency providing content creation, and social media services to small fashion and lifestyle brands as well as online coaching. I need to get myself in the mindset of working for myself for my business and not uni work. It is going to be a huge learning curve so I am going to take my time to find the right options for me to make this process easier.

We celebrated by having one too many drinks at Turtle Bay doing bottomless brunch – I had never done bottomless brunch before but I have definitely found a new favourite activity. But like I said, I don’t think that leaving uni has really hit me yet or will for a while. For now I am just going to focus on my business and enjoy the sun! I also have some really exciting plans for this blog too and I can’t wait to share more with you soon!
