I am not even joking when I say this puffer coat in the picture above was like wearing a hug. If you can wear a hug that is. That is one of the things I love about puffer coats. They are just SO BLOODY COSY. And also practical. A lot of puffer coats are actually water-proof so they are a really good option if you want to invest into a coat that is stylish year after year, yet is still practical. So, if you want warm, practical, on trend and timeless… look no further.

Let’s start with this coat. I was having a casual little ASOS scroll (as everyone did in lockdown because what else was there to do) and I found this beauty. The one picture in the photo above is the ASOS Design Puffer Maxi Coat With Belt In Hazelnut. I really rate ASOS Design items they do some classic basics and then some gorgeous on-trend items. This being one. This is really light-weight yet perfect for those brutally cold winter days. I also haven’t found a puffer coat which I think looks anything like this or this colour. It doesn’t have any zip fastenings but that’s the luxury of the belt. You can check out this coat here.

Another which has recently slipped into my collection is another brown number from ASOS DESIGN Tall Ruched Sleeve Maxi Puffer Coat in Brown. I bought this as an autumn coat however I think it is one of those that is SO easy to style in winter. I am all about the neutral colours, especially for investment pieces as then they will be easy to wear year after year. But if you want something more than the traditional black or grey neutral puffer than this is perfect. It is also long lined so great for bad weather! You can check this coat out here.

Classic black puffers are a wardrobe must in my opinion. I have tried a few and last year I opted for investing in one which will last me for years. I bought a The North Face Women’s Saikuru Jacket. They are not the cheapest black puffer but these jackets are such a classic. Year after year they can be worn and they are such high quality you don’t need to worry about the wear of it. I am so glad I bought mine because it probably is the most practical coat I own. A very much throw on over anything puffer. You can check this coat out here.
