Can you tell what I have just finished binging? If you haven’t watched Emily In Paris yet, and you love everything Paris, fashion and social media then why haven’t you? Given, not everybody has watched it and liked it. If anything it has a bit of a 50/50 mix of reviews but personally… I LOVED IT. I am 100% going to rewatch it. Even though I know a lot of people found it a bit unrealistic and cringe, a girl can dream right?
It would literally be my dream to up and move to Paris, have 25K followers and work for a social media marketing firm. Will that probably happen within a pandemic? Not a hope in hell. However I will not give up on that dream. I mean my name is Emily after all so we are half way there.
But one thing I noticed about the series is the unique outfits that Emily wore. Now there are several posts about the exact product you can buy to make your Emily In Paris dream true. However some of them are not in the budget of a fashion student like myself. So I thought for this week’s BTS I would try and show some pieces you could try to recreate some of her outfits. Not all of the outfits were gems – however I have picked my favourite looks to recreate. But if you liked any other the other ones then let me know in the comments and I might do a part two!
I have left these all over on my Instagram stories so if you find yourself wanting to know more then here are the deets. Also I want to point out that the majority of the links used will be affiliate links. It just means that if you buy that product through my link, I will get a percentage of the money… helps me out. But it doesn’t make it more expensive for you, and it will be marked with an *.
Pink Coat – Topshop Bright Pink Boucle Trench | £79.00*
Black and Pink Jumper – A.P.C Animal-Pattern Crew Neck Jumper | £259.00*
Pink Mini Skirt – ASOS DESIGN Mini Skirt in Pop Pink | £14.40*
Linzi Hot Pink Suede Stiletto Pointed Court Heel | £25.00*
Pink Socks – Ebay Coloured Knee High Socks | £3.99*
I want to call this – the pink moment. Because literally it is quite pink. So I want to point out the obvious… the jumper is very high end price wise. It is near impossible to find that exact jumper and I wanted to go for something as similar as possible. Obvious it is animal print not check but the colours are there. Also, yes the socks are 80s fancy dress tights but if you want to go for the full look they are an extremely affordable option. Pink for love, pink for Paris.
Dress – Silk In Fred Midi Slip Dress In Yellow and Black Print By Fuse | £26.00*
Dress – ASOS Dark Pink One Shoulder Midaxi Dress in Yellow and Black | £31.20*
Belt – Pretty Little Thing Bamboo Effect Buckle Wide Waist Belt | £10.00
Heels – River Island Black Barely There High Heeled Sandals | £40.00*
Handbag – Accessorize Cut Out Handheld Bag in Yellow | £32.00*
This is probably the most affordable Emily In Paris look that you could recreate because it is one of the most versatile and more wearable options. I love the contrast of the yellow and the black together and these were the best dresses I could find, that actually aren’t too far off the real thing. The actual outfit is actually a two piece by Ganni!
Ball Gown – ASOS Design Fallen Shoulder Midi Prom Dress With Tie Detail | £43.50*
Heels – Kurt Geiger Carvela LOVEBIRD Black Embellished Shoes | £69.00*
Shawl – ASOS Glamourous Exclusive Faux Fur Oversized Scarf In Black | £20.00*
Clutch Bag – River Island Silver Diamante Tassel Clip Top Bag | £30.00*
Unfortunately we don’t all have thousands to spend on a luxury black dress to go to the ballet in like Emily. However I found a few pieces that can make a very similar sophisticated yet glam look if you have an event in the future… or if you simply want this look.

Oh I love this post! I know lots of people found that her looks were not the parisian style but I mean she plays an american girl in Paris so it´s okay for me that she gives us Carrie Bradshaw vibes 🙂
