Can you tell in these photos that I am in my element? Just everything about autumn, the whole living in loungewear, fires lit and the mornings and nights becoming darker. But there is anything thing that just rings so true to me. IT’S COAT SEASOOOONNNNNNN. And I have been on the hunt for one new specific coat. And you are looking at it. When I set my eyes on this H&M Aviator Jacket it was straight in my basket.
I have had the same aviator jacket for the last 5 years or so… yeah that long. And it has done me well. It was from Primark, has black leather look but soft to touch fabric, and black soft as a cuddle lining fabric. And they actually have been selling very similar (but higher quality looking) versions of that exact jacket this year. It goes to show how timeless an aviator really is.
But after having it for years, I knew that it was time to think about upgrading it. I will still keep it, however I know that it has seen better days. So I had a hunt online because I knew I wanted a new one, but instead with white or cream faux fur lining. It is slightly different to my last one, and also the contrast between the white and the black adds something more to a staple wardrobe piece.
It actually was harder finding one that I liked that I thought. But eventually I settled on this one from H&M. The faux fur lining is more of an off white with a beige/pink tinge to it, however that makes it a bit more less starker and the warmer tones suit my skin tone than a bright white. I have to also say it is the softest jacket because it is completely lined with the faux fur. The outside of the jacket is also a faux leather making it sturdier, and also feels a really high quality piece. Not to mention the details of the tips, the belt and buckle.
I honestly, cannot wait to style this coat and I can guarantee I will wear it probably every day this autumn. From leather look leggings and boots, a midi skirt, baggy jumper and veja trainers, it is a jacket that can be easily dressed up or down. I have linked some similar ones below.
