Black in summer dare I even say it?? I know so many people almost scoff when they see people wearing black in summer. However if you are like me, and prefer having a more monochrome wardrobe then you will know the pain of shops just selling nothing but bold, colourful floral prints. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing with that. However I know that if I buy something, unless I completely fall head over heels obsessed with it, I will probably only wear it again if its a neutral colour. So my wardrobe might look a bit colourless. However I am over the days of buying something I will wear once this summer and not tan it out ever again. So this is why I am hear preaching about this boho black coord that I found on Loavies.
At first glance I know it looks like a dress. And that is sort of the beauty of it. This coord from Loavies is probably one of the comfiest coords that I own. I feel like it is so versatile. Very bohemian and retro inspired this easy to style coord can be also worn as separates. The top has a V-neck lining which means you can put on your favourite gold necklaces with it and the cuffed sleeves just add to that almost 70s shaping.
The skirt is where the magic really happens. The waistline is elasticated meaning it defines that waistline. But it also so forgiving if you go out and celebrate lockdown restrictions happening with a meal. We all know the feeling… The fact that it is baggy, and comfortable to wear all day, but you still have some shape definition it means it is pretty flattering on a lot of body shapes.
But I thought I would also have a little mooch around. Just to see if I could find anymore alternatives to make this into a bit of an edit. If you are like me, and prefer neutral colours which you will be able to wear year after year, then definitely have a look at some of these options.
