The Spotted Dress That Is A Wardrobe Must

If your wardrobe doesn’t have a black and white spotted dress in it, then is it really complete?

If your wardrobe doesn’t have a black and white spotted dress in it, then is it really complete?

I hope everyone is doing fine and dandy during this time. In some ways, it feels as if the weeks are actually going really quick. Like the day I am uploading this is a Thursday and we are halfway through the fourth week of lockdown. However I am also missing any excuse to wear anything but loungewear. So this is why I thought doing a blog post about this gorgeous and must have dress might cheer us up a bit. But lets be honest, we all know in reality that I am currently sat here in my PJs munching on an Easter Egg. Guilty as charged.

So today’s post is pretty straight forward. With this gorgeous weather we have been having of late, its been making me crave popping on a good ol’ floaty dress, crack out the sandals and truly celebrate spring. I also think that we are wearing so much loungewear at the moment, its a bit of fresh air to see a spotted dress floated among the gram.

Luckily, I got gifted this dress a while ago, and I took it to Paris to shoot. However I didn’t get the chance too because I didn’t plan for it to rain the whole time I was there. But classic Plymouth pulled off the stops quite well – and yes, I shot this before lockdown.

If your wardrobe doesn’t have a black and white spotted dress in it, then is it really complete?

This is the Luna Long Sleeve Maxi Dress in Black and White Polka Dress from Ajouter. And I know what you are thinking…. Its so wearable!! Well I hope you were thinking that but if not let me tell you it is! You might also recognise the fact it look similar to the Zara polka dotted dress that took the internet to storm last year. Ever since pretty much ever retailer has released something of a similar accord. The dress had its own Instagram account (yes, really) and just because of this Zara’s sales rose by 5%.

Why? Because this dress is pretty much flattering for every single body shape. If you want something that is a bit more floaty then you can wear it lose. If you want something more fitted then you can pop a belt around the middle. Literally any age can rock this dress and wear it perfectly.

It’s very versatile and on top of that it is just a really lovely dress. I would love to wear this outfit out and about with a pair of Converse or my Stan Smiths, or dress is up a bit more with some nice sandals in summer or heels. Its a comfortable style to wear – perfect if you are going for a meal and want to have a feast. But then again you could wear it with a pair of Doc, or biker boots and a knitted cardigan. See what I mean by how versatile it is?

If your wardrobe doesn’t have a black and white spotted dress in it, then is it really complete?

And as we will be moving into summer,  then to autumn and so on, this dress can be kept out and styled all year. Due to it being monochrome, there is no link to season so is the perfect staple maxi dress. Its definitely nothing new, that a dress like this is a staple, and we have seen styles like it before to prove it. So I am just glad I finally got my hands on one because its bloody beaut!
