AHHH! Its December!! You can bet for sure that all I am going to be blogging, talking, making content of for the foreseeable future is Christmas. In reality, I have been listening to Christmas music ever since the calendar clicked over into the 1st of November. Hate me or love me for it, after Halloween the countdown for Christmas well and truly starts. And for one I actually have a fairly good wishlist this Christmas.
But if you are a December baby like myself, then you will know the pain of having to write an extra long wishlist for this time of the year. That and the whole ‘joint birthday and Christmas gift’ ordeal. As my younger brother is a January babe, this has been a process that has been a bit of an annual tradition. From iPad minis, longboard skate boards, or car insurance, it is something we are familiar with. But nonetheless coming up with ideas for both celebrations this time of year is sometimes a chore. Especially when I was younger my mum would nag me ‘You won’t get anything if you don’t say what you want’. Okayyyyy mum. But just because I am soon to be in my twenties does not mean I am too old for Christmas lists OKAY?!
I don’t know what other peoples buying techniques are but personally I go for the listen all year around and then get something sentimental (I find this a good method as I am a good listener) and I do pride myself in my gift buying abilities. For example last year, for my friends birthday I knew one musical he wanted to see live was Les Mis. So I got us tickets and I was pretty proud and a little bankrupt… but still I go for the heart warming gifts. Or there is the practical gifts. I got my parents a coffee machine last year because I knew it was something they probably should of had. And a few on my list are the more impulse wants – like a new chest of drawers. I don’t need them but for my sanity I do.
So considering I have a healthy list of ideas, I thought I would share them with you. Perhaps you are struggling yourself. Maybe you want ideas to get your friends or family. Either way here is my list so dive right in…
