I don’t think I have spoken about it much… okay just three or four blog posts about it thats all… but autumn fashion is my thing. The boots, the scarfs the jumpers you name it they all come out of hibernation and I feel like my wardrobe is in full bloom. But we haven’t yet spoken about the makeup sides of things. One other thing that I like about autumn is the makeup looks. YES THE MAKEUP LOOKS. Okay I know that nearly 99.9% of the time that I am wearing makeup I am wearing the same everyday makeup look. However during autumn I feel like I have the chance to experience a little bit more.
I don’t think wearing the same makeup look everyday is a bad thing at all. In fact I have got it down to a tee that I can do my every day makeup routine in 7 minutes. A skill which I am proud to have mastered. But now it is going into that time of year that I can be a bit more daring with my makeup I thought I would talk your through some new bits that I have been trying out. There is a mix of makeup and skincare but they are all worth your consideration. Minus the berry lip though… sorry its not that autumnal yet.
This is a very new addition to my makeup collection as Bobbi Brown very kindly gave it to me after the John Lewis event that I recently went to. They carefully chose the colours based on what they thought would suit us by having a little insta stalk. This is a gorgeous pinky nude gloss. Yes gloss. I have always been a preacher of matte over gloss but I think Bobbi Brown unexpectedly answered all my prayers. I have been wanting to delve into gloss because it is a thing that it going around at the moment and its like the early 2000s are coming back again. But this isn’t just a gloss. It is a mix between a liquid lipstick and a gloss. So it is as pigmented as a normal matter liquid lipstick but has the shine of the gloss. It is just a gorgeous pinky nude, not those drab mauve nudes that you can get. And I am excited to try out gloss rather than matte!
I felt like this led quite nicely into this lip liner from Mac. Okay I have kinda lied. I’M SORRY. This is not a new addition to my own beauty collection however it needs to be a new one in yours. This is just an all round great lip liner. It goes with every nude lipstick you could possibly own and is just a lovely pink shade to wear on its own. Most of the time I wear this on top of my Mac Velvet Teddy lipstick because by outlining the edges you can make your lips look a bit more Kylie Jenner. But I have also found this pairs really nicely with said Bobbi Brown lip gloss above.
I have always been a preacher of the good ol’ BB cream however I do actually own foundations because sometimes you need something a little bit *more*. You know more in coverage and more in wearability. I have been using this foundation in 4.0 and I have kind of fallen in love with it. I think the consistency is very moisturising and ease to build on. If I don’t want full coverage then I can put a small layer on and then build it up. It is just a good all rounder.
I am actually gutted that this is a sample of the product because I would use it every single day if I could. You know when you have a bit of time spare but you can’t wait for a whole hour for your face mask to set in? Then this is the answer to your prays. You only need 10 minutes for this gorgeous product to set in. However I love to leave it on over night because my skin feels so soft and like someone has just given it 12 hours worth of cuddles. In other words a very good source of skin TLC.
*Gifted products which have very Kindly been sent to me by different companies. I was under no obligation to mention them.
