Right then, how has that happened??? I am already half way through my first year at university. LIKE WHAT HAPPENED???? That means I am nearly done with my first year and by May I will be finished. Well okay that was quick. Literally feels like only five mins ago that I was writing about how I was stupidly nervous about starting it. SCARY.
As I am writing this, in less than 24 hours I would have done my last hand in for my first semester, and I will be looking at a lovely week off….. ahhhhhh can’t wait!! (Yes I have actually got work to do in that time but I am sure to leave a little time for a Netflix binge or two).
My course is a typical and standard 3 year long course and I am studying Fashion Media and Marketing. Yassss I love it and yasssss it includes loads about blogging, photography and social media so just SCREAMMMMMS amazinggggggg to me!
I obviously at first got those nervous *like really bad* because you are starting a whole new part of your life and you have to spend £9250 a year for this course = a wholeeee lotta debt so there is always that worry that you won’t like the course. Thankfully I don’t think I could have picked a better suited course for me!
In our first semester we got introduced to four different modules (yes that means a lot of work) and we have just had to submit two this week. So when I have been posting all over my Insta stories that I have deadlines, this is what I mean. But it is 100% coursework, which I love just cracking on with and its all so relevant to what I want to do in the future.
One thing I have been really happy with so far is that I have managed to get ahead of my work, just by doing tasks each week rather than leaving it all to the last minute. So now, when everyone is doing the last minute panic, I have actually done everything. Although that does leave me slightly panicked because I feel like I should be doing something. AHHH!
We have also had to do more presentations than I have ever had to do in my life which let me tell you is scary AF. But really who likes presentations?? I can already feel myself cringing at me having to do them but it has pushed me into HAVING to do them.
But most importantly I have met some amazing friends and everyone on my course is a lovely bunch of beaut humans which is a blessing in itself!

So glad you’re enjoying uni!! I’m in my third year of a four year course and lemme tell you, getting into the habit of being ahead and doing work all the time is ESSENTIAL. I love getting my head down and doing work also, wishing you all the best in uni and life – I know it goes by sooo fast 💕
What course are you doing?
I study maths!
Congrats on finishing your first semester!
Thank you!
Congratulations on finishing your first semester at University! It sounds kind of crazy to write this, but enjoy it while it lasts. I will be starting my last ever semester of University, and all I can think about is where all this time went? Haha. Im not going to tell you to look for internships and all the academic stuff that I know you already know about. I do strongly urge you to cherish all the moments that you share with your friends, the fun adventures that you have together, and to ponder a little longer on the smaller things in life. These are a few things that I wish I had done just a little bit more to make my Uni experience much more complete. Im sending lots of love and positive vibes your way, and I look forward to reading your future posts!
Awwh thank you!!
i hate presentations too – ugh! I hope your next semester is great as well! xo
They are the WORST!
