The 80s Coat That Is Making A Comeback

Sooooooo I just had the BEST coffee morning with Hannah (@deerinthecrowd) who is a total babe BTW! We chatted, gossiped, drink multiple coffees and then took some autumnal photos and taaaaadahhhhhh here are *some* of the results. Isn’t she such a good photographer???! But yeah I wanted to get a few pics of this new gorge coat that I picked up the other day because let me tell yah now… it’s going to be a staple in your wardrobe this autumn even if you don’t know it it!!

I went for a little shop with my Mum the other day, we were meant to be picking up uni bits and bobs but instead we just got clothes because OBVS I am not going into Primark without picking up the latest bargains. I literally stepped into the shop and picked up about 5 pieces which I instantly fell in love with. So yeah, come shopping with me because it will be super quick because I just spot things in SECONDS… Haha!

One of those things which I just HAD to get was this long-lined coat (I think that’s the correct term for it but whoooo caress) because I kid you not they are everywhere!! Especially this flecked fabric because it includes all the autumnal colours like a deep red, and green. I picked it up because it is one of those coats that you can dress into a formal outfit or just where it shopping.

It is a really nice length, I don’t have many coats that are longer than thigh length, so to add a different coat to my collection is Veryyy exciting. I can really see this becoming my go to coat and super easy to match it with a scarf when it comes a lot colder!

The most fave thing about this coat is that even though it is a Primark coat it is AMAZING quality, like it’s so thick and warming, and doesn’t feel like it was only £30…. yes £30!! You can get similar coats in other high street shops for £90, and I won’t name and shame but this actually felt better than some of the more expensive coats….yuppppppp!

I always find September as one of the trickier times of the year to dress for because SERI weather what you up to??? But this coat is a 10, as I am indeed a 10 and it has enough room underneath for me to have layers, but doesn’t look too big if I only have a top on underneath. Perrrrrfffffeccctt!

What coats have you got your eye on for this autumn??

I think it would be best with a plain top underneath to attract the attention to the pattern on the coat but the are endless options!

  8. In love with it 😍
