I planned this blog post about two months ago, and little did I know that the heat wave we were having would continue for a whole extra MONTH and them stop as soon as I get back to the UK. If you live in the UK you will understand that we never get nice weather for as long as we have had lately. And it is also rare to get it over 30 degrees Celsius. If you don’t live in the UK understand we NEVER get this… especially as only a month before the heatwave started we had an *insane* amount of snow (which we also rarely get!!) Ironically as I am writing this it is raining for the first time in 6 weeks….
Typicallyyyyyy in the UK, throughout the summer we can get nice-ish weather in May and June and then July and August it all just goes tits up and it rains NONSTOP… hence the phrase ‘A very British Summer’. So ignoring the fact we have had insane weather and I had to buy a whole new wardrobe to cope with it… usually summer clothes in the UK can be different to summer clothes in a HOT country.
It was like having ‘Mr Blue Sky’ and ‘Walking on Sunshine’ on reply!! But today whilst shooting these photos it just pissed it down with rain! Like seriiiiii?????
I got this rain coat a few years ago from Boohoo and at the time they were ALL the range… every fashionista (??) was wearing one and they are super popular at festivals << where I want to be right now.
It is such a light through on coat and which is also waterproof so you can stay dry and trendy at the same time. See yah laterz you old lifeless pac-a-macs! I went for white… which at the time was the colour to go for – or yellow – but now that it is dirty I am a bit like WHYYYYYY?! But you can wash them super easy!
It’s easy to fold up to put in your bag which makes like super easy!!
How about you?? If you live in the UK how do you manage to get through a typical British summer???

I love this jacket, especially as it’s blue on the inside! I always struggle to find a good thin coat but this one’s so nice!
