Having A Healthy Relationship With Food

IMG_2868

There is no denying it that I am a right foodie, I love my food, I really do but I am THE FUSSIEST EATER you will meet I promise you! There are probably more foods that I dislike than I like, and I wish I was kidding! The closest I will get too fish is a fish finger sandwich… Yummmmm!

But I am fussy and I don’t like a lot of things which I should be eating to keep a healthy diet… in my mind salad = rabbit food. There is a lot of food though that I wish I liked! Eggs and their smell actually ~ sicken ~ me but I wish I liked them so I could be a ‘proper blogger’ and have poached eggs and avocado on toast or brekkie. I just can’t even stomach eggs though *YUCKKKKKKK*.

I know because I am so picky with my food that I have to try to have a reasonable diet so I don’t die from a sugar or chocolate coma. I am no dietician or food genius person (???) but I have a tiny bit of common sense (WOW) about what I should and shouldn’t be eating.

Yeah, yeah, yeah sometimes I DO treat myself to a chocolate bar *SHHHH* and sometimes I have fish n chips on the beach, or go out for a meal and stuff my face, but then I try to readjust my food for the next day so that it is a little bit better.

I also have things like yogurt for breakfast or as a snack so I get my diary, and yogurt drinks are my faveeee as they hold lots of healthy cultures in them. Fruit is not my fave thing in the world… In fact it is safe to say I don’t eat it. ARREST ME FOOD POLICE. I do drink fruit juice to make up for it.

How do you try to maintain a good diet??

  1. I’m not so picky about my food, but I eat a lot, so, I joined a gym!😁such that I stay fit.

  2. There were a lot of foods I didn’t enjoy growing up, but as I got older I felt like my taste buds matured. And there is a food that I forced myself to like, which is olives. Eating the smallest bit of what you don’t like with the food that you do like can help, then you can gradually increase the amount over time (:

  3. Juicing and Blending Smoothies might encourage you to like more fruit and Veg? I’m a Vegetarian and looooove fruit, I’ll pick it over chocolate any day! If you eat it enough you might come to like it 💗💗

I educated myself on nutrition – its slightly cheating as i’m a Personal Trainer so it was part of my training. However i always tell clients to eat what they want. Restricting yourself from the foods you love is the worst thing you could do. If you eat a balanced diet then a chocolate bar or cake now and again isn’t going to kill you. Its took me a long time to get into this mind frame having had an eating disorder growing up. I JUST LOVE FOOD!

  5. love me some brussel sprouts.

Great read, there’s nothing wrong with a chocolate bar once in a while!

  7. I’m such a fussy eater too.
I have set things that I can eat and it takes me a while to embrace new dishes.
I wish I would be a bit braver and try lots of new things.
    Hopefully one day I will.

I can do soup, as long as it doesn’t have bits in it! Its a texture thing…
