I am a big shoe lover, I could buy shoes after shoes after shoes but I like to think I have a little bit of self-control. Just a little though… I have been known to buy shoes that I thought ‘Oh My God they are cool!’ but I end up wearing them once and then regretting buying them. A few years ago I bought these lilac jelly shoe looking things (trust me I know what you were thinking but they were popular) but I only had one thing I could wear with them so I didn’t wear them too often. Now they are sat in my wardrobe and I just do that internal cringe and **shudder** thing.
But not with these new BEAUTIES!
When I was in Birmingham, having a bit of a shopping jolly with my Mum and my Gran (see my last blog post here to find out about it) I popped into Schuh ~ yes I had to google that again t find the spelling ~ and I had my heart set on getting these Red High Top Converse. I have been thinking about getting them because I have some white converse, which I got in Florida years ago, and they are LITERALLY falling apart so I needed (obvs) to get a new pair. But white are so hard to keep clean << honestly>> so I went for these red gems! It was between red and black and these just screamed out ‘GET ME’.
I do admit I wear a LOT of red. I have my red Primark (£8 bargain) bag, and I have plenty of red lippies to go through, my red Next coat and plenty of red striped tops, so with these shoes the outfit ideas are endless. I wore them for the first time on Thursday and they are super comfy. I mean I feel like I am floating when wearing them. I find flat soled shoes the best for my fee hence why these are going to be my new best friends…
Don’t get me wrong I love the original shaped converse, but the high tops are my new thing. I think they are casual but you can dress them up… In the famous words of Demi Lovato ‘Who said I can’t wear my Converse with my dress?’.
I also think that going with a brightly coloured shoe really adds something to the outfit, especially as it is coming into Spring now we have to have a bit of colour to an outfit don’t we??
For the rest of the outfit in the photo I was wearing my beloved TopShop Moto Jamie Jeans and I was also wearing my Primark aviator jacket and an old French Connection striped red top but that was a hand-me-down from a friend so I don’t think I have a chance of finding that link (SOZ).
Do you have any Converse that you rock?!

[…] Another example of this is the red converses I bought in Schuh. I have white ones from Florida which are years old and they are falling apart. But because white is deadly hard to maintain I decided to go bold and get red! I won’t ramble about these too much as I did a blog post about them which you can spot << here >>. […]
